Metacero support

Remove metadata from files on your iPhone and share or save a clean copy. The original remains available for comparison.

Getting started

  1. Open Metacero and choose a photo, video or document, or use Share from Photos, Files or Mail.
  2. Review the file type and tap the option to clean it.
  3. Save or share the resulting copy. Check its contents before sending it.

Supported files

Metacero works with JPEG, HEIC, PNG, TIFF, GIF, MOV, MP4, M4V, PDF and modern Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents. Some special features may require conversion or prevent complete cleaning; the app will let you know.

What it does not remove

Cleaning focuses on file metadata. It does not erase visible text, annotations, comments, tracked changes or signatures. Review any visible personal information before sharing a document.

Metacero does not appear in Share

Make sure you selected a supported format. In the iPhone Share sheet, review the available actions and enable Metacero if it appears under additional options. You can also open the app and select the file there.

Privacy and connectivity

Files are processed on your iPhone; Metacero does not upload them to a server. You do not need an account or internet connection. Read the privacy policy.

Need help?

Email hola@lothal.cl with your Metacero version, iOS version, file format and what happened. Do not send the original file if it contains private information; a description is enough to begin.
